Gerke Procee (b. 1993, Leeuwarden, Netherlands) is a Friesland-based visual artist who graduated from the Minerva Academy in Groningen in 2020 with a degree in Autonomous Fine Arts. Known for his bold, imaginative style, Gerke debuted with a monumental 2.44 by 4.88-meter reimagining of Hieronymus Bosch and an innovative thesis presented as a bilingual comic book in English and Frisian.

Drawing inspiration from myth, literature, film, and Frisian folklore, Gerke’s work blends cosmic, biblical, and fantastical elements, exploring emotions and hidden meanings through vivid colors and humor. Working daily in his studio, he strives to make his internal world accessible to viewers, offering a unique glimpse into his ever-evolving creative mind.
